Onboard Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity allows the NR1200 to access a variety of internet-based music sources. As an added convenience, you can download the Marantz AVR Remote app from the Apple App Store or Google Play to control the receiver from your Android or iOS devices. You can also control the receiver with just your voice via your Amazon Alexa- or Google Assistant-enabled device.
With five HDMI inputs and one output, this receiver can act as a video switcher for your HD source components. It will pass through HDR, 4K UHD, and 3D signals for simple integration into your home theater. The receiver also has a USB port for accessing media stored on USB flash drives.

With five HDMI inputs and one HDMI output, the NR1200 supports 4K Ultra HD 60 Hz video, 4:4:4 Pure Color sub-sampling, HLG and HDR10, 21:9 video, 3D, and BT.2020 pass-through on every input. It also features HDCP 2.3 compatibility for UHD copy protected content on all HDMI inputs, allowing compatibility with Blu-ray players and UHD streaming devices. Additionally, ARC, (Audio Return Channel) supports the transmission of audio from your TV with a single HDMI cable, simplifying overall setup. The HDMI inputs can automatically rename themselves with information provided by the source device.
Dual DAC Differential Circuit Design
The NR1200 features two separate DACs per channel to help increase the dynamic range and signal-to-noise ratio for clearer sound, even from sources with low signal resolution.
Left/Right Power Amplifier Design
The amplifier circuit design of the NR1200 features separate, symmetrical left and right power amplifiers with a central power supply distribution to help improve channel separation, reduce crosstalk, and preserve the musical soundstage.
Separate Power Transformer for Sound Purity
The power transformer is wired independently from the circuits for the amplifier, pre-amplifier, wireless module, and front display to help reduce interference for clearer sound.
A/B Speaker Selection
The NR1200 features A/B speaker selection, letting you configure it to drive two pairs of speakers in separate rooms, or to drive a single pair of bi-wired speakers.
